Agios Stefanos Corfu

39º 45’·90N 19º 57’·09E

A deep semi-circular bay with a sandy beach and white houses against a backdrop of olive groves and farmland against the rolling hills. A beautiful view of the Albanian coast, which is only two kilometres away.

Sailing towards this area

The shallow north of the bay deserves special attention. This shallow area (Ifalos Serpa) is marked by a buoy. The shallow is located between the buoy and the island. The military observation post on the north side of the bay is a good landmark.

Mooring

In the middle of the bay (3-6 metres deep) and with a long line attached to the waterfront. The bottom is overgrown with layers of thick grass which makes anchoring difficult at times. Always check the anchor’s grip. You can also use the stern anchor to moor along the small breakwater. Several rocks are located in front of the dam, so caution is advised. Alternatively, you can also moor at the head of a small wooden jetty. However, if you do so, you will be expected to have a meal in the adjacent restaurant.
