A spacious harbour near the village at the end of the long Ormos Platarias bay. This port was once a small fishing port but has expanded into a large marina over the years. Because of all the great facilities, this place has become home to a number of English flotillas and private yachts.

Sailing towards this area

The bay is fairly easy to recognise from a large distance. North of the bay lies the town of Igoumenitsa, the islands of Mourtos lie to the south. It

Mooring

The best places to moor are located in the ´new´ marina. You can moor both forwards and in reverse at the quay. The port has a good anchorage ground. It is also possible to moor along the quay near the taverns. This can also be done forwards and reverse. Unfortunately, this quay offers less shelter in stronger winds.
