For a long time, this village had the reputation of being a party destination for young Europeans; a place you’d best avoid at 4am. However, the town has worked hard to shed this image. A new port with room for nearly 100 boats attracts bars and restaurants that are less banal and mainly focus on the passing tourist.
Today it is a nice and cosy village with many terraces. It has a small park in the centre of town with benches and several clothing/souvenir shops. A stroll through the winding streets of the old town is well worth your time.

Sailing towards this area

The mountain with the large ‘golf ball’ on top forms the background of the village. This is a good landmark which you easily spot from the water. The large white hotel on the hill is also clearly visible. The entrance to the harbour is located to the right of the dam.

Mooring

Moor forwards or in reverse along the pier. Possibly alongside the end of the pier. The entire harbour is 3-5 metres deep. It is also possible to moor between the local boats. The port is equipped with mooring lines. However, there are more berths than mooring lines. If no mooring lines are available, you should drop the anchor. Do this as far away from the quay as possible to avoid the anchor becoming stuck behind the mooring chain!
