Vathi is a small fishing port on the northeastern tip of Meganissi. The bay is quite open and exposed to northern winds, so it’s advisable to moor along the jetty of restaurant Karnayio. The ferry from Nidri arrives here several times a day. There are supermarkets, a post office, various taverns and a bakery in the village. Via the road, you can walk from Vathi to Katomeri and Spartakhori. Along the road you will find a lot of embroidery, crotchet and pottery work for sale.

Karnayio restaurant is the restaurant where the flotilla moors along the jetty. When you arrive in the bay, this restaurant is located immediately to starboard and is easily recognised by the long yellow jetty. Along this jetty you can replenish your water supply (if necessary). Shore power is also available (upon payment at the restaurant). Shower facilities are also available.

The entrance to the bay is hard to see. If you follow the north shore of Meganisi, you can easily find the entrance.

WATCH OUT: If you sail to Vathi from Skorpios, be aware of the dangerous shoal between Skorpios and Meganisi. This shoal is hardly ever marked with a flag.
